I made a stuff!
I got this cool thing at Savers. It had a lot nasty varnish on it.
So I stripped the hell out of it. It was so fun and satisfying!
I wanted it horizontal at first, but I simply couldn't move my bird puppet, so I went vertical.
I love it so.

Pain in the Head
Want to see what a migraine feels like? This is my view, from my yoga mat, looking in the direction of my bathroom. No, that is NOT a gun on the floor, it's my orange phone.
I am not in full-blown migraine zone. I am in week-long, low drone, won't-go-away, nauseous, why aren't any of my meds working, but you can't do this to me I'm in rehearsals, zone.
Fun times.

It's Always Something
Magic Mouthwash? Yes please!
I always get the illnesses that make great stories. Allergic to cold wind? Bacterial infection in my mouth? Extreme-emotion induced migraines? Wait. That last one is self-diagnosed.
Good thing I like all my doctors.
Compass in hand, I stay the course. Finished 2 show runs that overlapped, and came out on the other side tired, elated and ready for more. And my heart is happy, on top of it.
Now the rest of August is filled with roadtrips and looking at maps.

New York June 2010
The Toy Theatre Festival at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn.
Performed Love, Go Figure with Michael and Sue.
It was rainy, grey, and amazing.
Inspired by Exit Through the Gift Shop, I kept my eye out for cool graffiti. Hopefully there are good shots of Banksy stuff in my 1/2 frame camera.
Love is the answer.

Life is Wonderful. (yes. it is.)
Love is the answer.
Go Figure.

Not Forgetting You, Bloggoh
Greetings, Bloggoh. I have been missing for a while. I am back.
Hiding in the Open closed over a week ago, and nothing stopped.
I am taking a breather from working on my taxes to share.
Last week was the Toy Theatre After Dark show. I performed in Love, Go Figure. Once again on stage with Michael Sommers. The Crazy Tornado of Awesome. And the show is going to the New York Toy Theatre Festival in June!! Open Eye FIELD TRIP!!
Spring has sprung. I am breathing. It won't be this perfect for long.

Life in (on) Stages
Hardest rehearsal process I've ever been part of.
This is how I picture Sabina and Joseph on their dates.
Sabina will be there on opening night. I really don't want to screw up telling her story.

I Just Know It
I am standing in line at Walgreens waiting for my H1N1 Flu Vaccine, in front of a young mom and her 6-ish year old daughter;
Mom: Where could we go on a trip?
Girl: California.
Mom: What would we see in California?
Girl: The Golden Gate Bridge.
Mom: Really? How do you know that? Do you know someone who has been to California?
Girl: I just know it.
